Hello to all of my classmates. It was great seeing all of you who came to our last reunion. Please let us know where you are if you have moved recently. I am still in the Memphis area and am currently Sales Director for American Esoteric Laboratories. My husband, David, and I have six sons- his, mine, and ours. We have six boys-one married, four in college, and an 11 year old. I am very proud of all of them and will be glad when they are off our payroll. I have a great family and a very busy life. I still keep up with several of my good friends, Kathy Alexander, Ann Philyaw, Cindy Walker, Suzie Gatchell, and Kay Kassinger. Some of us, including Ann, Suzie,Rocky,Travis,AB,Lai Lai, and Bill Hilliard were together at Bob Leggett's memorial. We need to all keep in touch. Time is getting away from us. I hope to see many of you at the next reunion in 2008. Love to all of you and yours!

After leaving East, I went to the University of Tn in
Knoxville and roomed with Lucia Whittemore for 3 years.
I married in 78 and divorced in 91 (or 92?). I have 3 children who are
the lights of my life..Katherine 22, Kip 20, and Preston who just
turned 18. I am a real estate agent with Crye-Leike and love it! I sell
all over Memphis as Jan Gordon and have also made a subspecialty of
selling condo's, particularly in East Memphis, where I have lived all
my life. I occasionally run into some friends but not as often as I
would like. I see Donna Bellott occasionally and Donna looks great and
is as sweet as ever. I see Meg Howard about twice a year when she
visits from L.A. and we always have a great time. Now that I've found
this website, will try to update occasionally.

I was bussed to East after attending Lester Elementary, Junior high and high school for 11 years. I am married to Gregory Jackson from Detroit, MI where I have lived for the past
22 years. Gregory is an auto dealer and was listed in Black Enterprise as the number 1 Black auto dealer in the nation for 2000. Our company name is Prestige Automotive Group. I was a commercial banker for 11 years after graduating from LeMoyne-Owen College in Memphis, 1977 and Atlanta University, 1981. I manage a couple of family owned businesses from home now. We
have two children. Anika our 17 year old daughter is a senior in high school and a ballerina, and Gregory II is our 12 year old 7th grader who is quite an athlete. Both children attend private schools. The Detroit public school system needs some adjustments. It is true that we live in a small world, because after many years of not having contact with anyone from the
class of '73, I ran into Rebecca Chandler, same class, same homeroom in Aruba of all places. We were chatting with each other and did not even know who was who until we started talking about home towns. If you recognize my name, feel free to contact me as follows:
. I will write back.

After graduating from East I attended Union University in Jackson, TN, earning a BA in Religion/Philosophy in 1976.
Following that I received a Master of Divinity degree from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY, in 1979.
In 1980 I became an Episcoplaian at Grace-St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Memphis, and in 1981 became school chaplain and assistant to the Rector there, a post I held until 1990. During that time I took a year off to attend the Episcopal Theological Seminary of the Southwest in
1985-86, and was ordained priest in the Episcopal Church in 1987.
In 1991 I moved to Winfield, KS (near Wichita) and served a year as rector of Grace Episcopal Church. Then I moved to Amarillo, TX and served a year as chaplain of St. Andrew's Episcopal School. From 1992-1997 I was rector of St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Plainview, TX,
and since then have been Curate (assisting priest) at St. Mary's Episcopal Church in El Dorado, AR (web site: http://www2.arkansas.net/~stmary). I assist Fr. Bob Allen, Rector, and supervise the parish's programs for children and youth.
My "extra-curricular" interests these days include Boy Scouting (I'm district commissioner here, and a recent new member of the Order of the Arrow), reading and writing, internet (I'm St. Mary's "webmaster"), tutoring, and hiking. My book "The Message of the Book of Revelation"
was published by Liturgical Press in 1993, and is in its 5th printing as of 2001.
It would be fun to hear from folk who remember me back at East.
Peace be with you.

I attended East from the 5th grade until graduation, and then worked my way North (College by College). In 1980 I graduated from chiropractic college in Iowa and moved back to Memphis with my wife, Jill. My first practice was on Summer Ave. but I have now moved out to the 'burbs and practice in Cordova. I have one son, Turner, who is all of the athlete that I wasn't during school days.
Along with my practice, I stay busy in Tennessee politics. I have also developed an IPA (a doctors association) that is the largest of it's type in the state.
I still think that East is the best looking public building in Memphis and take a walk down memory lane every time I go down Union.
I would love to hear from other alums, so send me an e-mail.

After graduating from East I embarked on a ten year career at Memphis State graduating in August, 1983. While at MSU I worked at various
places such as the IRS and Trailways Bus Lines. In October 1983 I went to work for FedEx and held positions in Customer Service, Customer
Automation & Invoicing and Systems Development. I married my wife Denise in 1986. Our first daughter Marci was born in 1989 and our
second daughter Kelsey came along in 1991. I left FedEx in 2002 and am now the Managing Director of Customer Service for Green Mountain
Consulting in Cordova. Currently we reside in Olive Branch, MS and attend Christ Presbyterian Church in Olive Branch. Life has been very
interesting but when all is said and done I believe I am truly blessed.

I curently practice law with my wife, Rebekah Randolph, in
the Winston-Salem firm of Randolph and Fischer. I do all trial work and
appeals, with an emphasis on criminal matters. Rebekah and I are one of
the few married couples to have tried capital cases together and so
far, knock on wood, haven't had any of our joint clients take a needle.
I went to law school at Wake Forest, and spent some time in Japan
as an Air Force JAG. I've kept up with my old friend David Turner over
the years, and look forward to seeing other old friends at the upcoming
reunion. I have a 20 year old son who attends Lees McCrae Collge, four
dogs and a cat who naturally thinks he is a dog.
I'm still a bookworm and thus far have kept my hair. I'd love to
hear from any Mustangs out there.

I am still here 'after all these years' as the song goes. I am very happy with my life. I am single, live in Olive Branch, have 2 grandsons - 3 and 3 mos., my son Chris is 30 and my daughter Danielle is 18. She will be leaving soon to go to college (Sept 07) so I will be an empty nester for the first time in my adult life. Actually I am quite excited about it. I still am at FedEx - 21 years now - and have a great job and the most wonderful work family. My parents are still with me and I am amazed at how well they continue to do. My Father still takes care of me as he did when I was a young girl - doing the "honey dos" that pile up - things I can't do. What a blessing is that. I love traveling, antiques, gardening, movies, dinner with friends, taking Mimi's boys (my Grandsons) to McDonalds, and just enjoying the quiet moments in my life. I would like to be able to talk to old classmates, but it just doesn't seem like I ever see anyone or hear from anyone that was at East in 73. What is that about? I wish all of you the very best and hope to see you at the next reunion in 08.
Regards, T

I moved to Los Angeles is 1977, after graduating with a BA in Journalism from Memphis State University. I was hired by Laufer Publishing Company as a writer for their many teen magazines, and two months later became editor of Tiger Beat Super Star and all special publications. I worked for the Laufer Company until 1980 when I resigned to work as personal assistant to actress and singer Doris Day. I moved with her to Carmel, California in 1981 and worked for Miss Day until 1990, at which time I resigned to move back to Los Angeles and go into television production. I worked on a
variety of TV shows, including Nickolodeon's "Wild & Crazy Kids," "World's Funniest Commercials," "The Ultimate Revenge," and a documentary for Showtime called "But Seriously..." In 1993, I went to work as an executive assistant for producer, Earl Greenburg, and am still with him today. My home address is:

After graduating in 1973 and spending 2 years in the U.S Navy, I spent 4 years living in the beautiful wide open country of Montana (1976-1980) working for the Montana Dept of Justice & as a station manager for Big Sky Airlines.
I then moved to Kansas City, Mo for 5 years (1980-1985) where i attended Park College and got my BA in Business Management. After graduation I traveled around the country for awhile and finally settled in San Francisco where I've lived since 1986. I discovered I had a real passion for acting and have been acting in Bay area community theatres since 1993 and absolutly love it. I've also studied & taken classes at ACT (American Conservatory Theatre) here in San Francisco. Since I don't make alot on the acting gigs I pay my bills by having a somewhat normal job working for the U.S. State Dept in the Passport Agency. In 2001 I also took up the hobby of running in marathons. Having never run before it was a challenge but once I did my first one I was hooked. I've now done a total of 5 so far.
I would love to hear from anyone either via email or by mail. My mailing address is: 268 Bush St. PMB 4128, San Francisco, CA 94104

Life in the Inland Northwest continues to be good. Hiking, biking, and camping in the summer, and cross-country skiing and snow shoeing in the winter. And then there's home brewing -- a year-round sport. What a life!
I still keep in touch with a few folks from East, like Bill Gwinn, David Latham, Eddie Yaun, Jimmy Skefos, Chuck Chapman, Rick Basham, and Larry Morrow.
Kate and I adopted a son, Mark, in 2000. Anybody want to place bets that among everybody in our class, I have the youngest child?
With family still in Memphis and in Jonesboro, we get back to the River City now and then. Although it's not so often now that all our parents are dead.
I would love to hear from more folks in the class. This part of the country is definitely sparse when it comes to East High alumni.
If you're ever travelling along I-90, remember that the welcome mat is always out.

I am in Memphis currently. My touring band is here. I sing in clubs and for conventions, etc. I am here to Care-give for my wonderful mother, but am making the most of memphis. It is refreshing to be back after all the years in L.A. and Fla. I miss Don, my husband, but he is very supportive of my decision to be with my mother. After losing Pop 8 years ago, no one has to tell me how important your parents are!
I am alos on the web at www.Hollyshelton.com. My CD'S are for sale [at various Memphis outlets]. I have an e-mail mailing list for gigs, so e-mail me and I will add you to the list!
I have toured Morocco and Europe in the last few years, and have done 4 CD's ansd 2 compilations. I am going to be included in the next Memphis Belles CD series which will be in local stores next year!
Go Mustangs! I hope the next reunion has a better turn out. Thanks to those trying to make it happen.
Regards,
Tall-Holly!
